Office Policies

Appointments

At our Van Elslander Cancer Center site, our oncology nurse screens all new patient calls and will schedule your  appointment as soon as possible.  We are a referral based practice and also offer second opinions.  Once  your appointment is set, we ask that you have your referring doctor send all pertinent lab tests, radiology and pathology reports ahead of your appointment for review.  If your imaging studies have been done outside of the St. John system, we request that you bring copies of the films or a CD of the images when possible.  For appointments at Karmanos Cancer Center please call 1-800-KARMANOS.

After Hours & Emergency Care

We make every effort to have you speak to a live person when you call.  If that is not possible during office hours, your call will be returned as soon as possible. If you need to speak to a physician after hours or on weekends, please call the answering service at (248) 544-6940 and your call will be forwarded to the doctor on call.  This number is on the voicemail recording of our office as well.  For non-emergent calls and prescription refills, please call during office hours.

Financial

All copays and deductibles are due prior to your visit.  We accept cash, check, major credit cards.
